Berenice Durozey
Bérénice Durozey is a French freelance dancer and choreographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied at the Rosella Hightower Dance School in Cannes before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Dance from the Zurich University of the Arts. In Zurich, Bérénice has collaborated with notable choreographers, including Nadav Zelner, Tarek Assam, Olga Labovkina, and Antonio Ruz.
She has performed at sveral events like the Gala Dance Meeting in Lucca, Italy, and the TanzArt Ostwest Festival in Giessen, Germany, showcasing Nadav Zelner’s piece "Woodstock." To support her education and apprenticeship at the Theater St. Gallen, Bérénice received a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Artistic Foundation. In 2019, she presented her solo work "Filiae Maestae" at the Theaterhaus Gessnerallee in Zurich and won the Best Bachelor Project award for her short film "In(de)finite," produced with Sami Charfeddine.
Bérénice began her professional career as an apprentice at the Theater St. Gallen, working with choreographers such as Kinsun Chan and Ishan Rustem. In 2022, she joined the dance company at the Theater Regensburg, directed by Wagner Moreira, where she collaborated with choreographers like Thomas None and Sommer Ulrickson. In Regensburg, she has presented her own choreographic works on stage, including the duet "Normal People" in 2023 and the trio "The Third Act", which premiered in May 2024.
