Manning Dong was born in China. She is currently based in Zurich and works as a dancer and choreographer. She studied professional ballet in Shanghai and completed her bachelor ballet education. After she danced as a soloist with the Suzhou Ballet (China) and in 2022 she won the 1st Prize for Contemporary Dance at the Ballet Grand Prix Vienna . She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Choreography at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK).

She focuses on the interdisciplinary field of body, movement and media, exploring how perception can be translated into physical expression.
